Baby Boy Update: 21 weeks

How big is baby:  21 weeks | the size of a pomegranate
Verse that I am clinging to: "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” Ecclesiastes 9:10a
How I’m feeling: good overall!
Symptoms: eczema & heartburn, all day every day!
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: MILK! WHOLE MILK. All the live long day. And rice chex cereal. Also, with milk.
Weight gain/loss: Weighed in at 141 at my appointment this week. Asked if we really had to weigh me each time…
Sleep: is good. I am definitely getting more uncomfortable and potty trips are becoming more frequent, but I love to sleep.
Exercise: the occasional walk with the dogs.
Movement: There are different kinds of movement these days, the occasional flutter, what feels like a total somersault, and definite kicks! I think he flips around often though, I usually feel (what I imagine to be) his feet on the right side, but lately I feel them up near my belly button.

Best moment of the week: Spent the weekend at the beach with small group girls. It was a great weekend and it was so encouraging to talk to other moms and ladies and just have good old sleepover beach house fun.
What I’m loving: Marshall hung our Costa Rica hammocks! I got mine in 2009 during my summer abroad and then bought him one last summer. He rigged up a way to hang them on our front porch and I have been spending so much of my time out there. It is so relaxing and I just love to be outside. I just need to remember to wear pants, because the bugs get me! I can’t wait til next spring and swinging with our little guy out there.
What I’m looking forward to: Track out! We just have two weeks left, and lots of baby things on the agenda and fun things with friends. Most of all DOWN TIME. No big trips planned (except a long weekend in DC with my girls) so I am excited to stay home and clean and start nesting a little bit!
